Barnacle King cleans yacht hulls, running gear and dock pilings across Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach and Miami. Our customers are yacht owners, marinas, and commercial and government vessels, including the U.S. Coast Guard. Every job is documented with underwater photos taken by our own divers, and those photos go out with the invoice. That standard is the whole business.
We are hiring Diver Technicians in South Florida. Full time and part time positions are both available, so tell us which you are after.
You will spend most of your day in the water. Cleaning hulls, running gear and props using scrapers, brushes and cavitation machines. Inspecting and replacing zincs. Photographing your work before you surface so the customer can see the result. Moving between marinas and private docks through the day. Expect current, limited visibility, and every kind of weather South Florida has.
Hull cleaning or commercial diving experience. Commercial dive school graduates are encouraged to apply. Boat handling experience.
This is physical work, not recreational diving. If you are looking for a stepping stone into yacht crew work, this is not the right fit, and we would rather know that now. We are looking for people who want to build something on the dive side and stay, whether that is five days a week or two.
